The Hawks Blues Band is an adventure into blues genre for the modern day. While staying true to the roots and the legacy of the blues, The Hawks music has an edgy and contemporary sound and feel. The raw in your face approach to both The Hawks’ arrangements of the timeless blues classics and their original compositions appeals to not only the most ardent of blues fans but those who have traditionally not listened or liked the blues before. The Hawks in their music want to share the blues with others. It is the hope of the band to pass on the Blue's legacy while providing a better understanding of what the blues are, where it came from, how it has affected music until now and how the blues can fit into the context of modern music. The Hawks’ brand of the blues is truly an indication of where the blues is moving to in today's music. We hope that we can excite a younger generation to the possibilities - just as it did for Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Joe Bonamassa, and other greats. We would hope to further the education of some of the "rockers" out there. And we hope to instill a love for the music for those who don't play - but just love to listen. We want to help the blues gain a bigger following. The Blues must not be forgotten. Help us - to Help you "feel the Blues." |

| The band currently performs both original materiel and covers songs from the major disciplines that forms the blues genre. This includes, but is not limited to Delta Blues, Chicago Blues, Texas Blues and Blues Rock. While the roots of the blues is the foundation for the music, The Hawks Blues Band infuses their own interpretation of this music to create a sound and styling of the blues that is uniquely their own while still holding true to the fundamentals of the blues genre. |

You can also click on the link above to go to our Facebook page for additional information, schedule and pictures. We have released our live CD "It Ain't Cherry". It can be found on SoundCloud, at any of The Hawks' shows and at some of the local music stores. We have started recording our second CD. This will be all original material from he Hawks and from what has been recorded so far it should be a good album. We are looking at a release sometime in the fall/winter of 2013. |
