If any key players have any time on your hands ( yeah, I know good luck on this one)
I would like to do a little cheating, I would like recorded keyboard intros to evenescense " wake me up" and lita ford "kiss me deadly" , Kiss me deadly may need a creative touch to que the vocalist in since they begin together on the recording.
These would be intro only and end when the drums, guitar and bass kick in.

Don't everyone jump at once now,
or you could just join the band?

I looked for the midi files for these but couldn't find them, If anyone would happen to know where I could find them I could edit everything but what I want out.

I've heard bands cover both songs without keys and they sounded alright. If you can't find someone to do the keys for you, maybe think of a different arrangement for both? Stacy would pound just singing the intro to Kiss Me Deadly with the band accenting with a few stops, then kick it in where it does. If done right, this would be really cool and the crowd would eat it up!! With Bring Me To Life, I'd try to work out an arrangement of the piano on a very clean sounding guitar with a touch of a sweet chorus and reverb. Something else to consider for this one is go up to The Castle Pub on a Thursday night while Red is DJing and have him play the demos and variations of that tune. You might get some ideas from it as well. Wink

We've done something similar with Kiss me Deadly but Wake Me Up would make a cool 2nd set intro with all the key effects and such. I think it would be hard to get the same feel to that intro with just guitar, bass and drums.

Facing west did you get my email concerning Nov. 1st

Ok, I got the evanescence song, I found the midi file when i started looking for it under the right name " Bring me to Life" and not "wake me up"

What a pain it was.......... midi sucks, it took way longer than it should have

I'll get into the power tab software later on for the Lita song, Thanks jimi

I was going to tell you about "Bring Me To Life", but from your last post, you have it already.

That Lita Ford midi might be tough to find.

Thanks lone wolf, Jimi Hatt got me the Lita Midi, I'll just have to figure a way to cue up the singer on it. I can't get my good midi editor to work on my new computer though. Did I mention midi sucks. Actually I guess it can be cool but takes patience.

Thanks All

I do a guitar solo act with midi doing mostly drums, bass, the occasional background instrument and it controls the guitar amp, voice FX, voice harmony and lights. MIDI can get hairy, especially with a hard to use sequencer program.

Anyway, during extended moments of silence from the drums & bass, I usually put a light closed hi-hat on each beat to keep time and cue...at the beginning of songs, I usually add a measure at the beginning and use it to count in with the light hi-hat. You could probably use a variation of this to cue your vocalist.
