Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the May 14 edition of 105.9 Qwik-Rock's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Lion Country's Rock Station, 105.9 Qwik-Rock. The show can also be streamed via Qwik's website, www.1059qwikrock.com.

This week, the show went on the road to northern Cambria County, arriving at the Hoffer Studio between Patton and Carrolltown so we could meet up with our guests, the Nag Champions Mystery Band! We met the members and learned their story, and heard tunes off their recently-issued self-titled CD! Along the way, we introduced new songs from Zach Wade & the Good Grief, Centralia, Callie Tomblin, Lizzie Yeehaw and Marshmellow Overcoat! We also updated "Local Music News," dug a 1995 tune from Absence Of L from the archive for this week's "Local Music Flashback," and reviewed Shine Delphi's In The Morning... CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!"

Here is this week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

MATT PLETCHER - "Sure Thing"
ZACH WADE & THE GOOD GRIEF - "I'll Survive"
NAG CHAMPIONS - "Fertile Crescent"
TOMMY FIX - "Stand Up"
NAG CHAMPIONS - "The Jar"
CENTRALIA - "Kids"
NAG CHAMPIONS - "Take Me Home (Morning Sun)"
CALLIE TOMBLIN - "Miss the Feeling"
LIZZIE YEEHAW - "Gypsy Way"
WINGS THAT BUZZ - "Mercy Of It All"

HOUR TWO:

SIX BAR BREAK - "Cocktail"
NOBODY'S HEROES - "Moonshine"
NAG CHAMPIONS - "Subterranean Chamber Waltz"
SHINE DELPHI - "Far From Home"
NAG CHAMPIONS - "Morning Star Afterglow"
ABSENCE OF L - "Cummings Turnpike" (1995, Local Music Flashback)
NAG CHAMPIONS - "Coffee & Cannibis"
MARSHMELLOW OVERCOAT - "Tune of the Turning World"

We will welcome a returning guest on our next program, as Dirty Looks/Harpo alumnus Jack Pyers joins us to update his career happenings and discuss his new CD, Dead On The Floor - we'll hear songs from the new CD as well! Along the way, we will update "Local Music News," dig into the archive for a "Local Music Flashback," and review Black Cat Moan's The Saint, the Munk & the Moan CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!"

Upcoming guests and specials include:

MAY 28 - Memorial Day Special
