Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the January 14 edition of 105.9 Qwik-Rock's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Lion Country's Rock Station, 105.9 Qwik-Rock. The show can also be streamed via Qwik's website, www.1059qwikrock.com.

Thanks to this week's guest, Johnstown-based singer and songwriter Dan Stonerook, for taking time to speak with us! During an interview recorded at his music store, Roxbury Commons in Johnstown, Dan discussed his career and his music, and we heard tracks from his first CD, Ghosts From the Past, along with some additional numbers. We also debuted new songs from Sterling Koch and Glory Days, updated "Local Music News," dug into the archive for a 1993 number from State College's Code: Blue, and reviewed Steve Brosky's Still CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!"

Here is this week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

PURE CANE SUGAR - "Box N'Nails"
MATT OTIS & THE SOUND - "Blinds"
DAN STONEROOK - "Our Old Town"
THE CROOKED LINE - "Concrete Shoes"
DAN STONEROOK - "Small Town Ten"
FLIGHT 19 - "Liquid Courage"
DAN STONEROOK - "Hobo Lullaby"
STERLING KOCH - "Trapped in A Minor"
GLORY DAYS - "Time Spent"
BLACK RIDGE - "Let It Roll"

HOUR TWO:

CHRIS BELL - "Whole Lotta Whiskey"
NORMAN NARDINI - "End of the Line"
DAN STONEROOK - "Confusion"
STEVE BROSKY - "Johnny Corporation"
DAN STONEROOK - "Highway 11"
CODE: BLUE - "Not Enough Joy" (1993, Local Music Flashback)
DAN STONEROOK - "Damn Right I Got the Blues Blues"
FELIX & THE HURRICANES - "Travelers Not Forgotten"

On our next program, we again return to the mailboxes to see what new recordings have arrived lately, and we will debut plenty of new tunes! Along the way, we will update "Local Music News," dig into the archive for a "Local Music Flashback," step "Across State Lines" to hear music from an independent band or artist from outside of PA, and review Sterling Koch's GuitaR & B CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!"

Upcoming guests and specials include:

JAN. 28 - Sterling Koch
FEB. 4 - Ladies of Local Music Special
FEB. 25 - X's For Eyes
MAR. 4 - Millennium Music Conference Recap
MAR. 11 - Homegrown Rocker 20th Anniversary Special!
