My bass amp is cutting out when I'm playing and I'm not sure what's going on. I thought that it my be the jack on my bass so I took it to get looked at but that's not it; I also just bought new cords-thinking that might be the problem, it's not. Is there anyway I can tell if its the jack in my amp and then fix it myself? Thanks |

I would just move the cord connection at the input jack around and if you are not getting any cutting in or out there the input jack is probably OK. Is it kinda static sounding when it cuts in and out? If so it is probably a weak connection or dirty pot ( volume or eq knob ) . You could use some canned air or something to clean out dirty pots. If it is cutting in and out real quik and clean then you may be looking at something a little more involved. |
