Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the April 6 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBXQ 94.3.

Thanks to our guests this week via phone, Shippensburg modern rockers Ledbetter Heights (www.ledbetterheights.com), for an interesting and insightful two hours! We were updated on the group’s latest happenings, including their new CD, Evolve, and we played a number of songs from the disc. We also debuted new songs from Kun-Tajus, The Rustlanders and Synged; flashed back to 1993 to play a tune from Pittsburgh/State College-based ensemble Out Of The Blue, and we aired a special live performance of Kansas’ ballad “Hold On,” recorded the night before during the annual Jeff Wallack Tribute Show at Aldo’s in Altoona. (The song, one of late area guitarist Jeff Wallack’s favorites, was performed by a special collaboration of six local musicians called ‘Iron Sausage.’) And we reviewed Evelyn’s Ashes’ debut CD, Far Away, in “The Professor’s CD Corner.” (The review can be read in the “Backyard Rocker” section of the message board area on Q94’s website, www.wbxq.com.) Another busy week!

Here is this week’s playlist:
