Ok seriously, how many local clubs are paying and how many are not?
Don't get me wrong here, I'm not at all suggesting that one club should and another shouldn't.......I'm just trying to figure out why BMI is targeting some small clubs that have a band a couple times a year, but aren't going after some that are having bands week after week.
It's probably the norm in the bigger markets to pay, but out here in the sticks, I gotta wonder why now? Why the little guy?
Anyone else having BMI issues? |

Not only have we lost several venues due to the ASCAP & BMI issue because they stopped having bands, and in some cases, all entertainment, but, two friends of mine who own very small bars in the Johnstown area are currently being hassled by them and these places only have bands a few times a year and only hold about 50 - 60 people if they were crammed in shoulder to shoulder. |

lets findout how much of the money the "artists" are getting.
Or is it just extortion from a bunch of suits who cant play themselves
and need to make up a job for themselves . |
