I recently added a new way to access Rockpage band pages from links contained in emails and other web pages.

To link to your bandpage, use the following format:

http://www.rockpage.net/bands/yourbandname.html OR
http://www.rockpage.net/bands/yourbandname.htm

In the link, replace "yourbandname" with the name of your band with any spaces and/or punctuation removed.

For example, the link to "Ole '97 Johnny Cash Tribute Show Band" would be
http://www.rockpage.net/bands/ole97johnnycashtributeshowband.html

Please let me know if you are having trouble linking to your band page.

I've known mod_rewrite for a long time.

I had a request to use SEO friendly URL's on the band pages and open up robots.txt for crawler access. I still have to mod the main band directory to write the static URI's. Piece of cake once I find the time.

I have a bunch of other plans for the site in my head... again I just need the time... maybe a sabbatical.

I'm coding other stuff instead... writing a Linux EEPROM driver on a project for Rockwell Collins. Not too tough but their timing params are strict and the I2C bus driver I was supplied is slow.
