Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the February 26 edition of 105.9 Qwik-Rock's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Lion Country's Rock Station, 105.9 Qwik-Rock. The show can also be streamed via Qwik's website, www.1059qwikrock.com.

This week, we continued to present maximum local and regional music on the program! We again spotlighted new recordings, debuting new songs from Madison Ryan, Hedonism Bots, Gun Metal Gray, Sterling Koch, the Tussey Mountain Moonshiners, Bill Deasy and Deadside. We also dug a 1994 number from Pittsburgh's The Gathering Field from the archive for a "Local Music Flashback," stepped "Across State Lines" to check out a song from Annapolis, Maryland's Shawn Owen Band, and reviewed Mama Corn's Live and Learn CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!"

Here is this week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

BEN DUMM & THE EAST SIDE BAND - "Devil's Debt"
BLACK CAT MOAN - "Medicine"
MADISON RYAN - "Can't Help It"
ZACH WADE & THE GOOD GRIEF - "Halfway Man"
CONDITION OAKLAND - "Missing Bones"
SPACEFISH - "Creature"
HEDONISM BOTS - "Just a Tad"
FLOAT - "Perfect Concussion"
GUN METAL GRAY - "We Are One"
SMALL TOWN HORROR SHOW - "Storm of the Century"
STERLING KOCH - "Southern Fried"

HOUR TWO:

DEREK WOODS BAND - "Much Better Now"
CHRIS BELL BAND - "Bucket List"
TUSSEY MOUNTAIN MOONSHINERS - "High Blues"
MAMA CORN - "Goodbye Comfort Home"
BILL DEASY - "Blood Red Moon"
THE GATHERING FIELD - "Bordertown" (1994, Local Music Flashback)
SHAWN OWEN BAND - "Walk of Shame" (Across State Lines)
CELL 15 - "Manny's Gone Home"
DEADSIDE - "Street Smarts"
TOOTHLESS - "Parasite"

On our next program, we will recap the 21st annual Millennium Music Conference, which took place in Harrisburg this past weekend, February 23-25. The "Homegrown Rocker" was in attendance, and we captured some sounds from the conference. We will air excerpts from the keynote interviews with Crobot singer Brandon Yeagley and Live guitarist Chad Taylor. We will also hear thoughts from some of the musicians and conference attendees, as well as lots of music from some of the almost 300 different bands and artists who showcased at this year's conference! We look back at this year's Millennium Music Conference on our next edition of the "Homegrown Rocker!"

Upcoming guests and specials include:

MAR. 5 - Millennium Music Conference Recap
MAR. 12 - Mike Lawson (Millennium Drawing winner)
APR. 2 - Psycho Prophecy
APR. 9 - Wings That Buzz
APR. 16 - The Crew of the Half Moon

(All dates are subject to changes as circumstances warrant.)
