Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the April 2 edition of 105.9 Qwik-Rock's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Lion Country's Rock Station, 105.9 Qwik-Rock. The show can also be streamed via Qwik's website, www.1059qwikrock.com.

Thanks to our guests this week, Lewistown-based metalheads Psycho Prophecy (https://psychoprophecy.bandcamp.com/), for an entertaining two hours! We met the band members and learned their story, and featured multiple tracks from their self-titled CD! With Harry Bleyer in the house, we couldn't resist the urge to dig a 2005 song from his Wiskerbisket past from the archive for this week's "Local Music Flashback!" Along the way, we also debuted new tunes from From Ashes to New, Almost Honest and Seraphine, updated "Local Music News," and reviewed Toothless' self-titled EP in "The Professor's CD Corner!"

Here is this week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

AUGUST WINTERS - "August Winters"
THE WHATLEYS - "Bionic Eyes"
PSYCHO PROPHECY - "Shoot the Devil"
FROM ASHES TO NEW - "Breaking New"
PSYCHO PROPHECY - "Government Cheese"
ALMOST HONEST - "Valkyrie"
PSYCHO PROPHECY - "Get It Done Son"
IT IS WRITTEN - "Sworn Judgment"
SERAPHINE - "Tempest"
NEXT TO NONE - "Runaway"

HOUR TWO:

NAILDRIVER - "Enemy"
SMALL TOWN HORROR SHOW - "Let It Go"
PSYCHO PROPHECY - "Dead on the Horizon"
TOOTHLESS - "Two Worlds Apart"
PSYCHO PROPHECY - "Bound Beaten Broken"
WISKERBISKET - "Killer" (2005, Local Music Flashback)
PSYCHO PROPHECY - "Sukk on That"
INTO THE STORM - "Shuffle"
EMBER'S FALL - "Loyalty"

Guests will be a part of our next program as well, as we catch up with Mercersburg-based indie folk/rock group Wings That Buzz! We will meet the band members and learn their mission, and hear tunes off their latest CD, Every Pretty Thing! Along the way, we will update "Local Music News," dig into the archive for another "Local Music Flashback," and review the Jukehouse Bombers' Death or Glory CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!"

Upcoming guests and specials include:

APR. 16 - The Crew of the Half Moon
APR. 30 - The Long and Short of It Special
MAY 14 - Nag Champions
MAY 21 - Jack Pyers
MAY 28 - Memorial Day Special
JUNE 11 - The Whatleys
