Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the October 8 edition of 105.9 Qwik-Rock's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Lion Country's Rock Station, 105.9 Qwik-Rock. The show can also be streamed via Qwik's website, www.1059qwikrock.com.

We again checked out new recordings that have arrived in the past few days and weeks, and debuted a number of new songs on the program. Getting their first "Homegrown Rocker" airplay were tunes from Young Lungs, Groove Merchants, Fiorenza-Dowlin, Chris Bell 100% Blues, Pensive Fear, Freeze Time, Jonah Whale, Clark's Secret Identity and Sea Offs. We also updated "Local Music News," dug a 2007 song by Crow In The Snow from the archive for a "Local Music Flashback," stepped "Across State Lines" to hear a song from Washington, DC's In Your Memory, and reviewed Phobos Anomaly's self-titled CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!"
