Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the February 11 edition of 105.9 Qwik-Rock's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Lion Country's Rock Station, 105.9 Qwik-Rock. The show can also be streamed via Qwik's website, www.1059qwikrock.com.

This week, we returned to the mailboxes to check out new recordings that have arrived lately. As a result, we debuted lots of new music on the program, including tunes from Dylan Miller, The Roof, Honeydiu, Phobos Anomaly, Nothingmen, One Adam 12, Hate Grenade, Master Sword, Dragline, X's For Eyes and Ember's Fall. We also dug a 1997 song by Four On The Floor from the archive for this week's "Local Music Flashback," and stepped "Across State Lines" to hear music from New York City lady blues rockers Jane Lee Hooker!

Here is this week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

NOBODY'S HEROES - "Scratch My Name on the World"
MATT PLETCHER - "Sure Thing"
DYLAN MILLER - "Three Crows"
THE CROOKED LINE - "Kansas Now"
THE ROOF - "Lighting in Her Eyes"
GLORY DAYS - "Time Spent"
HONEYDIU - "Mango Autumn"
PHOBOS ANOMALY - "Grandfather Clock"
NOTHINGMEN - "Downer"
SHATTERED - "Hell Bent"
ONE ADAM 12 - "Hours"

HOUR TWO:

RIK GOLDEN - "The Gig Is Up"
THE WHATLEYS - "Bionic Eyes"
HATE GRENADE - "Burn"
MASTER SWORD - "Let Me Show You the Night"
DRAGLINE - "Rock n Roll Machine"
FOUR ON THE FLOOR - "Both Sides Against the Middle" (1997, Local Music Flashback)
JANE LEE HOOKER - "Ends Meet" (Across State Lines)
TUKURPA - "Leprechaun"
X's FOR EYES - "Reason"
THE FILTHY LOWDOWN - "Twisted Minds"
EMBER'S FALL - "It Begins"
DARKNESS ON THE RADIO - "Paint My Bones Black"

We'll continue to explore the mailboxes on our next program, providing maximum local and regional music and debuting some more new tunes! We will also update "Local Music News," dig into the archive for a "Local Music Flashback," step "Across State Lines" to hear music from an independent band or artist from outside the state, and review Master Sword's Shadow and Steel CD in "The Professor's CD Corner!"

Upcoming guests and specials include:

FEB. 25 - X's For Eyes
MAR. 4 - Millennium Music Conference Recap
MAR. 11 - Homegrown Rocker 20th Anniversary Special!
MAR. 18 - St. Patrick's Day Special
