That really does suck, but trust me, keep your head up and your eyes and ears open. When we were doing our most touring, our bass player at the time announced that he simply couldn't do it anymore. He was living in Cincinnati going for his masters, driving 5 hours home to New Castle to simply jump i...

they *should* be OK either way, but I've seen them cut down, and covered with mulch or dead leaves to keep the severe elements off. If they are already large and fairly established, you should be good to go regardless. If they are smaller plants, you may want to cover them up. If they are really sma...

I've got 3 frankenstein guitars I take with me to shows. Ibanez RT series - pickups are from 3 different guitars, this is my main guitar that I've used for the last 14 years. I play rough, so it's literally falling apart. Ibanez RG - This is my backup to the above guitar, pickups are PRS, and one St...

oh man... I had a conversation for a bit with the drunk fellow. He wasn't this drunk when I was talking to him! He was onstage checking out my head, and I guess he was a 'little' drunk because he almost dropped it a couple times before I decided to go up and see if I could help him with something :l...

We used to play a lot of shows with a band from Mass. called Eastcide, they were on FarmClub before, said it was unreal. They just told FarmClub what kind of gear they wanted, beer they wanted, food they wanted, and when they got to California, everything was there waiting. I guess I didn't answer t...

As far as the Van Halen vids go, has anyone ever seen the live vid for "Unchained"? Eddie screws up the first verse.
We we JUST talking about that video on the way to a show last night
 You can catch that gem on VH-1 Classic every now and again.

we've actually been warned by club owners about doing covers in our set because of such fines. We've actually never had to pay anything and have never gotten into trouble for playing a cover here and there, but it's very possible from what I understand.

does Skolnik still play with them? I remember seeing a clip / infomercial about them and I recognized him as the guitar player. Do they have an East Coast and West Coast lineup, correct? I'll love to see Alex live sometime! I never got the chance to catch him in Testament.

I always debate this with friends, they get mad when I tell them that Paul's songs appeal to me much more than John's. I love the Beatles, regardless or who wrote what, but Paul's voice just appeals to me much more. Personally, I think if the tables would be turned and it were Paul who got shot and ...

my first guitar ever was a no name acoustic, I gave it a shot, but lost interest due to wanting an electric. I think I was 13 when I got a Hondo Strat copy. My brother has the guitar now, it's a monster that weighs about 50 pounds and sounds like crap. I haven't heard it or played it for years, but ...

I've never really had giant musical aspirations. I knew the stuff we wrote would never be able to be sold by a record label to large number of listeners. All I really like to do is play. Touring is too hard while trying to have a day job as well, and let's face it - we'd probably never leave the van...

We usually gauge it by how many people are still there at the end. If it's 1:30-ish and the place is dead, we stop. It's basically a judgement call. 9 times out of 10 , the owner isn't going to give you hell for it. If people are there to see you , even if there are only 5, I'd play until they had e...

We've always liked to have openers to break up the flavor a bit. We could play for 3 hours, but honestly I wouldn't even want to hear us for 3 hours straight  Opening bands can be a drag as well, especially when the club thinks they should put 5 of them on the stage before the headliner. This ...
