Hell, if you're coming to Pittsburgh, almost every venue is original friendly.

That sounds nice. I like the clarity and the sustain.

I prefer this to the original tone. 8)

Looking to jump on a show - JUNE 11, 2011

Hey, how's it going? If this is in the wrong place, feel free to move it. I play bass in a metal band called Dethlehem. We're heading out for a week and our June 11 date canceled. I was hoping that someone might be able to hook us up with something that night, we could jump on and just play half an ...

Here's a question...How many of you would want nothing to do with music if you werent making any money?? How many can answer that honestly?? That's me. I play because it's what I do, it's who I am. If there's payment, I always give it back to the band fund, unless the band decides otherwise. Sure, ...

These guys are pretty cool. They've been floating tracks around on different boards for quite a while. It's cool to see them get it together.

I play bass just about every day for around an hour or so. I try to play drums 3 or 4 times a week for about an hour or so, depending on what I'm working on. I almost never play guitar. There's no improving that.

Here's one that many bands seem to forget. Don't play too many shows in the same places. I'm not saying that you shouldn't play a bunch of shows. I'm just saying that you don't want to always be available. If people see that you're always playing at the same places, they'll just skip this show and s...

I only had one because I happened to fall into a trade situation. I had some stuff that someone wanted and they had the Bogner. It was amazing to try, but just too much for me in the end.

I had an Ecstasy Classic for a little while. It was quite easily THE best sounding amp that I have ever plugged into. The cleans were crystal clear, if you wanted them to be, dirty if you wanted. The second channel (blue) was rock all the way up to metal and the third channel (red) gave me enough ga...

I know people rave about the cab, saying it's like an Ampeg 8x10, only better. I don't know how easy it would be to lay one across the backseat of my car, though. How are the highs on the cab? I generally prefer a horn or coaxial driver in a bass cab. It does remind me of an Ampeg 8x10 only better....

There might be a small load on the output when both pickups are selected, but that's occasionally good. That's what most standard Jazz basses sound like. The pickups are louder soloed, but they mix together to make a tone that is a combination of the two pickups, just a hair quieter in volume.

I have heard plenty of people argue that they can make a processor sound like any amp. Sure, I have no issue with that at all. I have heard the Fractal Audio Axe-FX, I know that it can be done. The audience doesn't care. They only care that the tone is pleasant to listen to and compliments the music...

If the middle position is too quiet, that usually means that the pickups are out oh phase with each other, as far as I am aware. Try swapping the hot and ground on one of the pickups while leaving the other alone.

I used to run my pedal board split. I had my wah, overdrive, fuzz and noise pedals hitting the front end while all of the modulation and delay went through the effects loop. Yeah, this meant that I had a bunch of spaghetti on the floor on my side of the stage, but the tones were crystal clear and ev...

I had a CE22 for quite a while. That was a fantastic guitar. Did that have Dragon I pickups? Awesome pickups!
