If you have cell phones, there's no need for long distance service, etc... go for the Verizon DSL 2 year plan online - which is only 14.99/month right now -- and ask for a basic land line... which is only like 13.00 per month. you can receive calls, but making calls from your home phone costs you......

OK -I have to ask here... Does this thread refer to music that has been recorded locally or just if the band is from the local vicinity? Just curious, since no one had mentioned the Edison album from '97. I'm biased on that one, but I think it came out sounding pretty damned good. We just didn't rec...

I work at Sheetzcorp -- the chicken salad, I'm sorry to say, is NOT from the Meadows... but it's still good.

I'd put my own spin on the following (since I can't help but rock like the dickens): 1. Starship - "We Built This City" 2. Shellac - "Watch Song" 3. Liz Phair - "Fuck and Run" 4. The Police - "Message in a Bottle" - and I don't care how many people have redone...

No, April - I haven't... And by the way - it surprises me that not one of you musicians has posted anything to this thread (unless, of course, I just missed it) about the whole idea of music as language (i.e. - Close Encounters of the Third Kind)... It's always interested me, and I want my band to u...

Since everyone was talking about their equipment, I thought that I'd share mine for no reason other than to participate.... I bought a (so I've been told) rare G&L SB-1 back in 1990 for $50.00 (with the original hard-shell case and an old Crate practice amp that actually looked like a wooden cra...

April, April, April... Don't you listen when I speak to you...? I guess our small conversation at practice wasn't informative enough for your liking. I'll try harder in the future to keep your attention... First of all - try using kazaalite for your peer-to-peer needs. Download the setup HERE: http:...

Wow... You kids don't play nice. I'm sorry, but -- I have to agree with Aja. She may not always say the right thing (or be an expert in social etiquette), but she’s right about her thought process in auditioning for a band. Sure, she may have pissed off a few people, but look at the response she rec...
