Marshall 1960A

Solid cab that sounds great. Stock Celestion G12T-75's that are well broken in. A few tolex tears but that adds to the mojo. $350.00

Peavey Wolfgang USA

Very comfortable feeling and great playing. D-Tuna actually works on this one. There are small cracks in the clear coat around the neck pocket and a few where the neck bolts on. $650.00 http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj52/marshallmel/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zps4mfnmapv.jpg http://i269.photobucket...

Golub modded 1959 SLP

Martin Golub modded plexi. Amp has the SE Lead mod done and a Metro Zero Loss fx loop added. Same mod and modder used by Doug Aldrich, Reb Beach and countless others. Very aggressive, pissed off Marshall tone. iPhone clip really does it no justice. http://youtu.be/5nQvI5Qgi1o Guitar is a Les Paul wi...

PRS CE-22

Pretty darn nice guitar. Top looks great with no marks. There are two small marks on the back, one would photograph but the other wouldn't. Pickups are some sort of Seymour Duncan's but I can't remember which ones. Let's say $950.00 http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj52/marshallmel/Mobile%20Upload...

And a little GNR for good measure.

Again, one take but the rhythm guitar wasn't doubled.

Here's my modded Plexi. This was recoded about 6 years ago on some very low budget recording gear. Done in one take. Rhythm guitar was doubled but not double tracked. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfp-86nBpIk It turned out darker sounding than it was in the room. Could have been the junk equipment...

Re: TONE

I would love to hear samples of other local guitar players tones....not your bedroom/ basement tone, but what your tone sounds like when your setting up for a live show. Here's my SLO. All of the knobs are in the same place that they've been since I first played it and tweaked them. Cab and speaker...

I set my amp up wherever it fits and I don't usually turn it up very loud. I get what I need to hear guitarwise out of my monitor, for two main reasons. 1. I'm parked out there because of singing duties and my pedalboard is there. 2. By the second set there's a solid wall of bimbo dancing in front o...

Amps are for suckers. Quiet stage = better mix. It's 2015. The Analog Digital War is over, and analog lost. You can cry all you want about "your sound" and the "feel" of your rig, but that just shows weakness in your ability. You are up on stage to entertain; most people don't g...

What level player are you currently and what do you hope to achieve? Learning music theory will not necessarily make you a better player if your playing ability and mechanics are not up to par.

The Woodside won't be free. Haven't gotten a quote on the price as of yet. IMHO this would be the ideal location because it's a bar and restaurant, which would allow folks to have drinks and food if they wanted. There's a room in Altoona which requires a $75.00 deposit and a $90.00 rental fee. No fo...
