the Embalmed crushes

Post by whitedevilone »

I couldn't find the thread that brags this record so i started a new one.Forgive me.Snagged the disk from Chad last week and it's killer. The tunes are well written, tight as hell, with just a touch of that sledgehammer hook to the face(i never make it past Crucifixation without a replay love that chorus)!!The production values are sweet as well. I can hear the pick on the strings and all the "pings"jump out at ya .Although i could stand to hear the vokills a bit higher in the mix here and there but i'm sure that was intentional.Horns up on the solo work as well Blood awsome licks!Overall i'd say Spoonfed and Lambs of the Black Hand are my favs so far.Everything i wanna hear on a metal record.Darren's drum work is sweet and Greg is tight as hell and right there in the mix holding all of that mayhem together.Bravo gentlemen kick ass work!

I double and triple applaud the remark, the disc is simply one of, if not the best disc from and local/regional band in terms of production value, and overall song quality, I listen to the disc on a regular basis ever I bought it off of them, HELL UP GUYS!

The only thing better than listening to an Embalmed album is seeing the whole thing right there on stage, live.

aw shucks; thx!!! we wanted the vocals to be mixed more like an instrument rather that the be all, end all ingredient. of course we wanted it plently loud and the main focal point, but i like how bands like Morbid Angel and even Rob Zombie sit in the mix rather than on top of it. vocals are always the weak link in heavy music; i can't stand the really extreme metal where the vocal is so over the top loud that it sounds like someone screaming in the room next to you- its way too much. its also a possibilty the next disc we may run the vocals a little hotter; point taken and thanks for really listening with discerning ears Scott- we appreciate the feedback. and no- you can't have my licks. i don't have enough to share- you already got the Single Recto that launched a million riffs with bad intentions in the pracitice room so don't get greedy....

hell up!!!

When I saw the title I thought we were getting our own reality show like the Flavor of Love. Our program will conclude each week with one girl in a ditch covered with lime.

Thanks for all the kind words and support guys. Our first run of cds is pretty much sold out, cool!

Classy dudes and some of the first and best people I met in this scene. Plus they effing pound!!!

Shared some fun times in the past with the Straws and with Greg while we were both cutting our teeth in previous projects. No doubt about it, these guys are the real deal.

1 a week is far too few for the slaughter that must cover the many

I haven't heard the CD yet, but hearing these guys live plenty of times,... Yeah, I can't wait to have a copy spinning in my PoS CD player! This band slaughters mercilessly!
