He didn't mention when he was campaning that the jobs he wants to create would go only to nonwhites.

Maybe he figures that all the whites that wanted good paying jobs already had them. Yeah, that must be it. He only has our best intrest at heart right?

This ought to be interesting to see how they deal with all the states that have qualified competitive bid requirements for all non-emergency projects.

I wonder if there will be a mandated quota system. X number of welfare moms to lay rebar, Y number of deadbeat dads to pour concrete. Will Jesus (the Latino gardener) get a rated job on the crew, too?

If all this happens, who will be left to hold up and rotate the traffic signs?

Interesting Rob, but I didn't see Obama. Perhaps you titled the thread wrong ? " An adviser's opinion and not Obama's." "Another idiot who is too far left wing (Rengell) that isn't going to get what he wants either."

In case you haven't noticed, Obama likes to gather opinions from more than one source. Unlike Bush, who did whatever Rove / Chaney told him to do.

This video appears to want to stir up racial antagonisms. They (the Republicans) are without any thing to attack Obama with, so they try to stir up the muck even when it's not there.

It has been legal to discriminate against white males for about 5 years that I know of. The way they do it is advertize "Women and minorities are encouraged to apply".

The first time I seen it it was an ad from Penn State University looking for painters and general maintenance to clean up student housing after the students had left. I am a painter so I applied and didn't get hired. I also called the Office for equal opportunity to report what I thought was a racist ad. They quickly told me that it was not a racist ad. So I came back with "you mean if I was looking to hire somebody and I ran an ad that stated white men are urged to apply that would be OK. Of course the equal opportunity guy told me "Oh no that would be racist".

This kind of ads still appear form time to time.

my real question is this...

if women and minorities are urged to apply to all federal and state jobs... where does that leave me? am i fucked in the ass because obama's advisors are telling him that i don't matter? do jobs and money and health insurance just fall from the frikin' sky for me because i'm a 23 year old white male?

drawing a blank? let me help. shit is just as hard for me as it is for a 23 year old black female. people want equality, but they are fighting in the wrong direction for it. equality is not making laws and promoting minorities to have jobs that equally qualified white people are eligable for.

all these people are doing is segregating white males. love it love it.

edit: i'm sick of all these feel good laws that our government passes so they can smile and wave at the cameras. fuck equality, the way to get equality is not to make laws that require people to do something they don't want.

Hey Bill, he's a top Obama adviser and he flat out said against white construction workers....could you imagine if a Bush adviser said we don't want black workers? That's fucked up if you ask me. Saying people aren't eligible for bids if their skin is a certain color?

Hussien also said that he would pay all the costs to rebuild all the damage in the Gaza Strip after the recent war with the Israeli's and Hamas. WTF? We have a 11 trillion dollar debt and this guy wants to rebuild a foreign country that we had no part in anything that happened?

BTW, when is he bringing our troops home from Iraq? We have already accomplished all we need to there, but you don't hear anything about Iraq this White House.

A billion's a lot of money, considering you could bomb the Gaza strip 24 hours a day for a year, and do $42 worth of damage.

From what I know, there is no law explictly stating that it is legal to discriminate against whites in a job-related capacity - unless, of course, it's for a bona fide occupational qualification (So it's legal not to hire White porn stars for a nudie mag specialized in Black models

i love liberals, because they just spend spend spend what we don't have. trillions of dollars... does anyone relise how much money that is? think of the highest number you can visualize in your head without grouping them. by grouping i mean 10 is two 5's. the highest number i can visualise without grouping is like 11 or 12. anything after that, i have to group, like 13 would be a group of 6 and a group of 7. does anyone really relise what 11 trillion looks like?

i think we could always spend more. why not? let's bankrupt the fuck out of our once great nation. let's borrow a few more trill from the chinese and just let them take over our country.

When the Saudi pledge was announced last week, they said that one billion dollars was about half the bill. Personally, I think that amount was exaggerated to make some extra coin, which is part of Arab culture.

Even if they did give money, which STILL cannot be ascertained by your article, they could simply drop the amount from the aid given to Israel, who WOULD NOT EXIST AS A STATE without massive US aid for the last 60 years, in the form of cash and military hardware. It's time to push Israel away from the American teat. They have no strategic importance, only religion keeps them relevant, and religion is the singular cause of terrorism in the world today.
At any rate, you ASSUMED we'd be paying for it, and pulled a figure of 10 billion out of thin air. Nothing in the article stated any of that directly, or even implied it.--->JMS

As long as we still have hatred and people who will buy into it the problem still exists.

I respect Obama more and more cause of the way he actually listens to those who would have his head, he gives them all a chance and tries to play fair.

Can we be saved? Hell I don't know. I will work on my little part of the world here. If you lose your job to a minority and need food call me. I will feed your family if it comes to it.

If you lose your job and hit hard times, call me. I will do whatever I can for anyone. We can pull together as a group and each of us can give a little to support those who are in need.

That might help to eliminate some of your fears.

We are strong together. We have to get away from them and us cause the whole boat is sinking, not just my side.
