A salute to George Carlin with a ceremony at the Kennedy Center is on PBS Atlantic cable Chanel 3 tonight at 9:00 pm and again at 1:00 am. And Friday Morning at 3:00 am.

Just watched it. Great stuff. Carlin, was, and still is, my favorite comedian. Too bad he died before this award.

Also in the top two of my fav comedians of all time. I was in 7th grade (art class) when I first listened to Carlin's LP releases. We played them constantly. FM & AM and Toledo Window Box. Guess I'm showing my age but WTF, Great times, great stuff.

Wonderful WINO was classic Carlin. "You're listening to Wonderful WINO....::::sing Wonderful WINO. the big sound in the big town.:::: This portion brought to you by Parson's Pest Control. We'll get rid of your ants and water bugs and help you smoke your roaches."

He did a skit on the WINO thing as Al Sleet the weatherman. "This is Al Sleet, your hippie dippie weatherman. Tonight's forecast.... DARK! Continued darkness until tomorrow morning where there will be widely scattered sunlight. Back to you Bob.."

Strange how I can remember so much of the small details from way back then but I can't remember where the hell I put my keys 20 minutes ago. Anyway, his stuff stands the test of time. I also saw him when he came to Altoona. And yes, I DID buy the tee-shirt.

yup... i aim to please. chances are, if it involves shit, raab himself has done it at least once...
