Spineshank was out years before nu-metal. I saw them open for Sepultura and Biohazard back at the Metropol in Pittsburgh.

They better edit their WIKI page. I used to be all about this shit in the late 90's early 2000's. Everybody has a pair of Jnco's in their closet dude. It's ok. I still listen to some snot now and then. Only the stuff with Lynn though.

Korn and Limp Bizkit were nu-metal...sorry...I don't see Spineshank as nu-metal. It was easier to sell a product back then calling a band "nu-metal" vs. calling them "metal". Nu-metal was all the craze and a label was trying to capitalize on that.

Yeah, I'm not trying to split hairs with you. I consider all of that "POP" metal from the end of the 90's to early 2000's Nu-metal. You know the stuff, It's all tuned to sound mean but, it just goes chug chug chug. It's like they took all my favorite genres- Punk/Metal/Hardcore and exploited all the worst parts of it. Sorta what you see happening with metalcore now. Like I said nothing against the stuff, I just had my fill 10 years ago. I really really do still dig Korns first 2 albums though. I think Sepultura even leaned more towards the nu-metal genre from their beginnings in Thrash/speed metal. And I still rock out to them on occasion.
I was just stating that you seem to be really in touch with whats going on with all of these "where are they now" metal bands from 96-02.

No dude. I didn't say they were. I said they leaned that way later on.
Compare the newest Sepultura CD to Schizophrenia.
I couldn't even listen to their newest cd the whole way through, because it's just not right man.
