I've seen quite a few tribute bands. It's cool to be dedicated to keeping favorite bands alive like that...although it can get hokey at times.

They were also at the State Theatre last week. I didn't get to go, but the people I talked to who were there were very impressed. I heard that they focused on less popular songs and played for 3 hours without a break. Plus they did an entire acoustic set, including "Battle of Evermore". I wish I had been there.
... and then the wheel fell off.

Get the Led

I talked to friends who went and said that the band reproduced the album cuts as close as possible. They had more than 4 musicians and came very close what you'd hear on record. Very impressive....

ugh, I really wanted to go to this but $40 a ticket is pretty steep to see a tribute band.

That's alot, I didnt think it would be that much.
Maybe the record company is getting a cut of ticket sales because it's copy righted material?
Sweet Jesus, I can see that coming next...

If you love the music of Zep.40 bucks was worth it.
I wish I had a video or CD of the Show.
It was that good.
Thanks to Dean and Elsie for the Tiks!
And yes,It was about the music. They didn't try to look ,or act like them, just sound like them.

My 24 year old son has been going to see them for years. Good that they are finally out this way! :D

Btw, he also speaks highly of The Machine, a Pink Floyd tribute Band.

That's what makes tributes "CHEESY" to me. Just play the fuckin music, for christ's-sake. Plus, getting a new drummer for every show would have to get tiresome. amirite?

So...if we go out just performing : Metallica-1st set, AC/DC-2nd set, and ozzy/BLS/Sabbath-3rd set....Should we call ourselves a "Showcase" band?

Because we are by no means going to try to look like anyone...

That's not meant to be a dig either. I love all the bands you're covering.

My dad just happens to listen to them as well.
