Peppermint Lounge in Sunbury

Post by CHICKSINGA »

BluesMoon, Lipsmackin' Blues Band and Riviera Paradise were to play a Bluesfest at the Peppermint Lounge in Sunbury on Saturday Night. It was to be the kickoff of a new, updated bar that was hoping to attract blues fans in the area and revive the once "bad reputation" it had.

Bob Snyder, the owner had just put a bunch of work and money into the place and had set his drums up on the new stage (he is also the drummer for Riviera Paradise).

We were all soo excited to play! On Friday Night after BluesMoon's gig at Tony's Big Easy I get a call from my guitar player Scott Bachman - "The Peppermint just burned to the ground!!"

Our Hearts go out to Bob and we hope we can find a way to put together a benefit to raise some funds to help him get his dream back on track!! We'll keep y'all updated!

That's terrible. I've driven past the Peppermint already, but had never gone inside to see a show. Sad loss.
