I agree. I gotta say...I like it. Sometimes I come across a rhythm I'm not used to or chords that sound dissonant, but, over all, I'm for more of it.

In fact, sometimes I can't get enough of it. Like an addiction.

Very cool. I'm not familiar with Eric, but I love to hear new things.

I take it you like music too ?

Seems to me you and I have discussed melodies (or the hook) before. Have you heard any good melodies lately ? You know, the kind of hook you just can't get outta your head.

Music is neat. I enjoy making it as well as listening to it. I try to push what I'm familiar with in both directions, listening and playing. My next project is learning how to play the Chapman Stick.

My favorite music teacher was Robert Boob. He was great. Enjoyed what he did. He built a house near the school and everyone thought he was silly because one entire side of the house facing the sunrise had no windows. They found out later it was because he had his own pipe organ (I think that's what it was called).

There was also Mrs. Pennock. She was good but Mr. Boob was the best.

Eric Dolphy was one of the most important, misunderstood, talented, and under appreciated players in the history of music. Miles hated his playing.
I love him. No one played angularly like him.

I really did the heavy stuff, yet I also like the modern rock stuff..

Also, It is much better performed live.. In fact, I'm going to a music show in April to see a "music group" that plays this "metal??" kind of music.. their name is one of the titles given to Jesus in the New Testament and consequently in the Christian tradition

:D

I listen to a wide range of stuff. It has to have a rememberable riff or vocal line thats repeated enough to hook me. For me thats what works. 9 out of 10 times I'll hear something and go YEAH! before its even a hit. (Well most are a hit elsewhere, just hasn't made it to us yet...lol) I hear stuff on other stations closer to cities before it reaches us in the hills all the time. :P

DO YOU EVER??...... After a night of playing, and ringing ears from monitors, do you like to listen to "NOTHING" on the way home???...or even get home, kick back with a bean and listen to your ears ring and just silence till you can calm down and sleep? :)
