People involved in the "arts" are likely to vol...

Post by Hawk »

People involved in the "arts" are more likely to volunteer !

I was reading a copy of a news paper clipping today, at Juniata College.

It is from 2006 USA Today.

51% of people involved in the arts (both in supportive roles and actually participating) volunteer in some way, at some time, for their community.

WOW :!:

19% of people with NO involvement in the arts are likely to volunteer.

I guess we Rockpagers already knew that.

I like giving blood. Does that count? I go for free food though, primarily.

Musicians have hearts.
Laugh if you want to, really is kinda funny, 'cause the world is a car and you're the crash test dummy.

Well, except blues musicians. All they usually have left are a little bits and pieces.

I've always heard babies can handle fevers way better than grown-ups. 103 degrees had me deliriously talking in my sleep. 103 had my buddy's kid playing the next day.
