faith no more kicked ass back in the day. i still have one of their cd's floating around here somewhere. it's the one with underwater love on it. amazing disc. amazing band. epic was their hit, but they had way more many better songs than that one. although, it was good, too!

That was one band that had their set of twists. For being mainstreamish, that band really had a lot working up and down in their notes

nighthawk might have something to say about this. Hes a big FNM fan. I liked alot of Patton's stuff, but it was later. Some of the Fantamos/Tomahawk stuff.

Hey 'Brian's Girl', make that man stick his head in this thread.

FNM= My least fave. Mike Patton Project, but I still like'em.

Peeping Tom,Fantomas,Tomahawk,Mr.Bungle are all gooooooood!

I can understand how people don't like him though. Same reason self indulgent guitarists get to me. WANKERY

Whitedevilone-I wonder if there is a band out there that we both like? haha

They fused a lot of different stuff. That's what I liked about them. You can actually listen to a whole album beginning to end without it getting monotonous. I'm not a big jazz fan, but I like jazzy metal.

If Billy Gould is pounding the bass, I'd kill to see them. When I heard Epic on the radio after I had been playing bass, THAT tone became my dream tone that I aim for. He had very tasteful basslines and I fell in love with them all over again about a year ago. I went out and found every album! They're lyrics, although weird and not always making sense, were actually really good. My favorite song and lyrics is Everything's Ruined from Angel Dust. - A very underrated band.

Hey Bastard i was at that show!!It was indeed a classic.Piggy needed some new batteries in one or two of those 17 delay pedals!

Sanchez i KNOW there's GOTTA at least one!!We'll stumble upon it someday brother!! For the record i really liked FnM but Mike's Yammering just get's under my skin. It's kinda like an infant. You know you love it all and it's kinda sweet to a degree, but finally it becomes less and less sweet till you're forced to admit you just want it (it meaning Patton not my child  )TO SHUT the FUCK up!!See Bri it's nothing like guitar wannkery.Guitar wannkery is fun. Some dude runnin up and down octaves in cartoonland in only cool for what 3or4 albums? Go figure cause i love NakedCity and almost all of John Zorn's stuff.Weird huh?

LOL! Yeah that's what I meant. Fun to do, but after a while it gets old.

You know, like if you got a whistle, you can toot on that fucker forever, but as soon as someone else gets one. You tell'em to knock it off, 'cause "it's annoying".

Did Voivod stop after piggy died?

I'm pretty sure, but don't quote me on that. I picked up their last album, the one they did with Jason Newsted. It's pretty good, but Angel Rat is always going to be my favorite Voivod album.

Angel rat is an awesome album. I think Nothing Face has to be my favorite. Sweet cover of Astronomy Domine.

No, Voivod are still going strong. When Piggy was diagnosed with cancer here put down hundreds of guitar tracks for them to use when he passed.
They have about to their estimate about 5 more albums. Jason is still with them, but also Blacky has back been playing with them.
But as far as guitarist replacement they have another french canadian. His name escapes me at the moment.
VOIVOD is one of the most UNDERRATED bands EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All there albums are works of art.
The albums with Eric Forrest are amazing. Phobos and Negatron are killer.Just imagine a heavier Voivod.
I buy anything they put out, amazing band

Agreed on all points.I really liked the albums with Eric but the record VoiVod when Snake returned to the fold is just fuckin awsome. It's cool that they're carring on cause i think that's what Dennis would have wanted.
