So, whats your take on him? I think he's pretty good and I watch his show just about every night (im laid off and stay up all night and sleep all day) but I still think Conan O'Brien is the best there ever was haha. What are your thoughts and opinions?

He took Conan's place right after Jay Leno on NBC.

he's ok and getting better. The reality skit with the tie was pretty gay though, but they've kinda dropped it....i love the roots as the house band, ?uestlove is the shit. Some of his skits are good though like "Target demographic" plus i like the fact that he likes to play around with music alot on his show

So whats happening to Jay Leno?
And will Conan have "The Tonight Show"??

This came as a surprise to me, because I haven't heard about it.

Leno's moving to a nightly show at 10pm weeknights. Leno's one of the cheapest shows NBC makes, no sets to build, small crew, etc. It was a cost-cutting measure because nobody's had a real hit at 10pm for years, since about the time Fox affilliates started having 10pm newscasts. Cable networks actually do pretty okay after 10, too. NBC couldn't compete, with the economy the way it is, ad revenues are down.--->JMS

I would much rather watch The Late Show with Craig Ferguson at 12:35 a.m. on CBS. I like his quirky humor. His show is the only late night show without a house band and he mentions often that he should have one.

I never understood who he was blowing to get on SNL. Must have been Lorne. Maybe one funny skit, as the geeky goth kid. I think they wanted him to be like a Mike Meyers type, but that never happened, you would need talent.

yea... once all the funny people, like dana carvy, mike myers, will farell and the like where off snl, it kinda went down hill. i don't think tina fey is funny. i always liked weekly update or whatever when kevin nealon did it. and the dude before him, his name escapes me for the moment. but when jimmy fallon and tina fey did it, wow, what a shit fest. i couldn't imagine actually seeing the jimmy fallon show. i think 10 minutes is waaaay to much time for him.

I like Tina Fey... she has a wry wit, and it's laced with pop-culture references, which are all the rage right now in comedy. You guys are mad because she nailed the Palin thing so well. :D
Fallon, I actually liked on SNL, he played some funny recurring character-study bits, like The Barry Gibb Talk Show; but I don't care for his show much. The writing just sucks, pure and simple. Plus he seems like he's barely trying. Regis was on last night, and told some good stories about early TV, but even that couldn't save it for me.--->JMS

I really like Tina Fey in the 30 Rock show. I like her on this more than the SNL news. 30 Rock has the good ensemble cast going, and all the characters add up to a hilarious show.

I always liked a show with a great ensemble cast, like Taxi and Cheers. The Office is now the only show I make a rule to see. I think that it's humor will still be funny 20 years from now.

In my mind, 30 Rock in the new Seinfeld, quirky, random, and really no point, I love it!

my thoughts exactly. i have nothing against tina fey, i just thought she was horrible on snl. but then i'm more of a late 80's - mid 90's fan.

I've watched studiously over the last few years, it was getting pretty good for awhile, and around election time was flat-out hilarious with political humor, but it's rolled off tremendously since. You usually get one, single kinda-funny skit per show, and the loss of Amy Poehler has been very noticeable. They always come back, though. Next year they'll find another Dana Carvey or Eddie Murphy, and be back to normal.
My wife turned me on to 30 Rock... I agree, it's a great ensemble cast, with excellent, quirky, funny writing. The Office has been wearing on me lately... the Michael character has been too over-the-top for me, he gets away with things that defy belief. That was Dwight's bit.--->JMS

Wonder what happened to Chris Kattan anyways? I always thought he was really funny then after SNL he never really did other than a couple other movies that I'm aware of
