Red Charvel Strat at Jarrett's. Wonderful guitar, it had 3 of the humbuckers that fit in a single-coil slot (Duncans, I believe), Sperzels, red paint even on the neck, very solid and well-built, a real road dog and it looked brand new.
'73 Gibson J-45. This one breaks my heart to think of it. Jim Mosey had a tobacco sunburst that practically crawled up into my lap. It had some checking on the front (a bonus for me, I LOVE personality) in just the right places, the action buttery, and the sound was loud and bottomy. He wanted $350, I had it in my g-damn pocket, and I walked out the door.
