In What Types of Venues Do You Prefer to do Shows?

Post by moxham123 »

In what types of venues do you prefer to do shows?

* Coffee house, book store, or intimate type setting
* Small to medium size bar
* A large nightclub
* Private club
* Hotel or motel lounge type venue
* Festivals of any size
* Resorts and casinos
* Cruise ships
* Theater group shows
* Concerts settings in auditoriums, arenas, etc.
* Private events such as weddings, parties, picnics, etc.
* Fire hall or banquet hall type shows
* Church halls and religious type events
* Old folks homes
* Other

My band will play just about anywhere that we can get a gig and our style of music will be appreciated; so, we perform at a mixture of different types of venues. However, with the amount of bars to play at dwindling and all of the difficulties related to them lately, we would rather play for festivals, concerts, and private events but there are not as many of those in the area as before.

Divebars, where people get drunk, rowdy, and have a ton of fun cause they're home.
Laugh if you want to, really is kinda funny, 'cause the world is a car and you're the crash test dummy.

I'm really into bluegrass festivals. Hippies, yuppies and rednecks all being cool to one another, and a guy your grandpap's age just blazing on his banjo or mandolin. It'd be like if you went to Ozzfest, and when he was done, everybody got out their Marshalls and jammed together. :lol: --->JMS

This!

I played at The Mirage (strip club) once. That was awesome!!!

Nothin like seeing some hot naked chicks grinding on each other, to a song you penned!

would do as a weekly gig.

Thats funny Sanchez, back when I was in Vendt we played the Bikini Car Wash at the End Zone. It was around the back and also the day Penn State beat Nebraska.
