Its very depressing....

Post by metal_junky »

After looking at the NFL schedules and buying my tickets for the games I intend to watch at "Giants Stadium" this year, I was unhappy to see that my Giants won't have a chance to beat the Steelers again this year... I can only hope that Steelers and Giants both make the Superbowl this upcoming football season so I can watch Giants new offense steam roll the Steelers big bad defense...... AGAIN

I have some sad news for you Steelers fans. You won't have the #1 defense this year. Giants have once again made massive improvements to their defense and all the players that were out for last season are back and running 100%! As far as the Giants offense, well I think your going hear an aweful lot of "Eli Manning throws to Hakeem Nicks... TOUCHDOWN"!!! Or could be any of these explosive receivers DOMENIK HIXON, STEVE SMITH, SINORICE MOSS, or how about the man with the "Big catch" in the Superbowl 2 years ago "DAVID TYREE".. ... Lets not forget the monster "BRANDON JACOBS" will be running the ball through defensive lines again this year.

Giants have the total package this year and got rid of the former Steeler who caused such a huge distraction for them last year. And I can continue to elaborate on this some more if you like

Eh I don't think the giants are that bad off... they will be alright now that Manning has all year to train with out his crutch Plaxico. I think the Eagles will take the NFC East though.

Long as the Ravens kick the Steelers' asses, I don't care. The first game, they botched it. Fair enough. Second and third games were highway robbery, and the refs were driving the escape car

Ravens!?!....the Ravens!?!, sure they are the only competition the Steelers have in the AFC North, but they lost too many keys in their defense. It doesn't matter how the Steelers won, they won three times.

LOL ... I love it. Three chances to beat the champs, three failures. So the mighty Ravens were beaten by 180 pound guys in zebra stripes? As the champs showed before they won number five three years ago, even when the refs try to hand a game to someone else (Manning and the Colts-the chosen ones, remember?), true champions win anyway. As far as the Giants go, I like them and root for them in that division, but if Super Bowl XIV is a Pittsburgh/NY match up, they better tighten their chin straps cuz it's gonna be ugly. Eli will be running for his life. Regular season games and post season games are two totally different animals. The champs will only be better this season. And as far as your comment about Plax, let's not forget who caught the game-winning TD in SB XLII. r:>)
That's what she said.

Guys, come on. It's time for the Stanley Cup, the Penguins are in it, and you're talking football???? Where's the love?

Oh yeah, that's right. The Pens lost the first two games to the Red Wings just as I said they would, so suddenly it got quiet about hockey here. 8)

Giants will be 10 times better this year then they were when they won the Superbowl. (Both on Offense and Defense) ..... as far as the catch Burress made, any WR could have made that catch... The true hero in that game was David Tyree...

Giants/Football in general

Post by joltinjeff »

If if were not for the fact that Spittsburgh got a lucky catch for a TD and the same thing happened to the Giants the year before, how can any of you sit there and complain.
"Quit livin' in the past man! Live in the now!"
Anyway, I started to watch the hockey playoffs and now that the Pens are down 2-0 i am not sure I want to continue to watch.

Actually the main point originally was that since Steelers played my Giants in Pittsburgh last year, I was hoping that Steelers would play the Giants again this year at Giants Stadium....

I actually mostly hate just the Cowboys but I grew much hatred for the Steelers too after some idiot wrote that damn "HERE WE GO" song that was soooooo over played every where I went. I thought the song was actually cool the first couple times I heard it but its kind of like the whole "Achy breaky heart" scenario...

The AFC North and the NFC East wont play each other again until 2012. You better hope its an early season game. Otherwise the world's going to end and you'll be fucked. Go Steelers!

How do you know that? I just read that every season the schedules are randomly computer generated. Is there an actual system to what divisions play each other every year?

Yep there is until the end of this season anyway. So I may be wrong, if the NFL doesn't extend the current scheduling method. http://www.footballinjuries.com/rotation.htm

How so?

Anyways, thanks baceman on the info. I guess the scheduling never really mattered so I did not really ever have an interest in how they did it...

Even though I can not watch Giants VS. Steelers this year, I will be at Giants Stadium on October 25th to watch Giants VS. Cardinals. Thats should be an awesome game!
