So, who's a bigger asshole: The government who's pushing us closer to a socialist regime or the private entities that created an economic clusterfuck for everyone due to their greed?

Not saying I support one side or the other - just being rhetorical, as I always seem to be.

By definition, occasional economic clusterfucks are necessary and typical in capitalism. They allow for the "changing of the guard" by passing assets from weak hands to strong hands.

The socialist regime does not have a place in capitalism, except as a potential economic competitor that can be easily outdone in the world market.

If you identify with capitalism, then the socialist regime is the much bigger anus for not letting the capital markets sort themselves out with the governmental tools already in place such as bankruptcy laws, FDIC and the Federal Reserve. Purist capitalists do not see those who caused the most recent economic clusterfuck as anuses at all. They are simply weak hands that should surrender their assets to stronger hands.

If you have socialist tendencies, the group who caused the economic clusterfuck is the biggest anus, but the socialist secretly appreciates these entities because they gave them the apparent "crisis" they needed to put a socialist regime into power.

These are the two prevalent opinions on which is the bigger anus...and we all know what opinions are like.
