and find a fucking snake in your room?

Yeah me either till today. Thank god it was only one of these, and not a rattler or copperhead.

Laugh if you want to, really is kinda funny, 'cause the world is a car and you're the crash test dummy.

I just had an encounter with a ring-necked snake a few weekends ago at my friends cottage. We were playing 'Steve Erwin' with it after we found it under a wood pile. It actually played dead and showed it's bright yellow belly! It was pretty cool.

I used to do rattlesnake hunting when I lived in Texas, It was pretty cool. We caught 40 some snakes in 1 day and went to the rattlesnake roundup and cashed them in for 600 bux. I was alot of fun.

Had one of those living in my closed in back patio last year. Year before was a milk snake. I have lots of garter snakes living in my front shrubs.

That brings to mind my adventure at the Pennsylvania Musician Bed & Breakfast last summer:

http://rockpage.net/phpbb2/viewtopic.ph ... ht=kingdom

Whitey and Robin told me that they occasionally get snakes hibernating in their farm house over winter, even up in the attic. The one in the story I linked may be one of them.

When I was a kid and lived in Sinking Valley, we used to get a few snakes in our basement; never any poisonous ones, just the farm variety (black racers, black rat snakes, garter snakes, etc.).

One time whenever I was around 7 or 8 and me and my parents were moving from one place to another, me and dad went back to the trailer to get some last things we left there and he opened one of the cabinets above the stove and there was a big ole black snake in there staring back at us.

I hate snakes big or small, poisonus or non poisonus. Just like 3 weeks ago when I was weed eating our bank I stepped on a small garter snake and ran like a little girl haha.

Working for the phone company we see them allot. Once I opened a cable pedistal and one came out and went across my feet and I jerked back so fast I almost fell on it!

When working on lines on poles we have to watch when a guy wire/pole is covered with vines. They climb to pole tops and even get into the cable closures. You'd never expect them to be up there 40 ft in the air!...A friend of mine had one fall into his basket on the bucket truck when he opened a closure. I said." That would have killed me!!" He said, "It was a black snake, they wont hurt you." I said, "I didnt mean the snake I ment the fall because I would have jumped!!" ( I did that once when bees poured out...I freakin hate bees too..am alergic)

I hate bees and snakes....I can't even pee with out freakin!!....LOL..(Ok am streachin it alittle...((The story  )).....LOL)

Ha... All this snake talk reminds me of my classic snake story!

I'm virtually an Ace Ventura, in my own rights, and always was. I have a certain respect for almost all animals. I don't actually fear any of them, save for a large dog with its "FUCK OFF!!!!!" face. At the time of the story, I was under 13, but I had several tanks with various creatures in them. I had several lizards (geckos, anoles, an iguana), a few frogs/toads (some caught, some not), a bunch of fish, and a few wild-caught grass snakes at the time. We were living in a 2-story house in Baltimore City fairly comfortably

Anyway, I had noticed one of the snakes was missing some time before then, but didn't remember how or why. Either way, it was gone. I probably never would've seen it again... Or so I thought

Being that age, my brother and I had a bunch of action figures. I remember playing with them with him that day. You know,... Kids being kids. Next thing I know, I hear my mother SCREAMING my name in such a way that either meant I was in DEEP shit, or something HORRIBLE had happened! My brother and I BOLTED downstairs, down the steps as fast as our feet would carry us! When I got there, my mother was standing in front of the fridge, with a snake at her feet! After hearing the story, I gathered the little rascal up, and put him back with his roommates. Heh

The little runt obviously got out. As said, I don't know (or remember) why. With his time of freedom, he apparently wandered around the upstairs of the house into the bathroom where we didn't have a panel covering the tub's plumbing access space. So, he simply wandered there, and dropped onto the newly dropped ceiling. From there, he probably slithered his way across that, searching for a nook or cranny to call his own. Finding one, he dug through it. However, he obviously had no realization that he would be going through a hole with space under it... And, at that moment, as my mother was lookking in the fridge, he fell to land RIGHT ON HER HEAD!!! The "bloody murder" scream was the result of that! Even today, my mother has a fear of snakes from that event!

Kind of crazy running into this post after working 3rd shift last night and watching what I believe was a copperhead going down along the back wall and then into a hole in the cement floor! I stuffed the whole with a big stick and broke it off in there so it could not come back up through there... I hate snakes.... I am like a little sissy girl when I see one..

Ya gotta be careful with these guys... my niece was bitten outside her barn on a spring day, we thought she might lose her leg. It was pretty bad. You can tell a copperhead by it's pupil... round pupil= not a copperhead BUT don't get close enough to look at it's eyes! Only check dead snakes that way.
Don't kill snakes either. They keep vermin away, and they're cool.--->JMS
