Showing up in my tux on my wedding night with my wife in her wedding dress to see I Enemy. That's also where I proposed to her. Playing Pete's with I Enemy, Stix N Stones, Banditos, The Hurricanes, DD And The Swinghounds, and Gin N Juice. Seeing Halestorm when they were kids. The original Rockpage Jams. Lots and lots of Rumpleminz. Turkey Night jams. Lots and lots of friends, booze, and smiles. I refuse to go to the Black And Gold, cause it ain't Pete's. Sure, we all had problems with life, but you know what? No POSERS at Peter C's. Best. Bar. EVER. Miss ya, John.
Dood...

Hurricanes Candlelight shows. Playing there with Detour before the bar was expanded. Playing first show with Sidestep the night of Hurricane Ivan, and almost drowning on the way home. Legendary blues jams. Rockpage Jam #1, which brought me out of a major funk and got me playing out again.
One memory that's missing: Fights. I used to hear fans say they wouldn't go to Peter C's because it was "too rough" but in the many years I went there, I never saw an actual fistfight... just a little territorial shoving a time or two. That always pissed me off that people said that. I was always much safer there than at, say, Hill Valley Hotel.--->JMS

One time while Dragon fire was playing the cops came in, it was a parole check or something ... Anyway Ronny starts chanting over the mic. F#&* the Pigs F#&* the Pigs F#&* the Pigs and everybody in the place and it was packed started chanting with him ... Mean while I'm trying to kiss thier asses not to shut us down it was crazy ... They left and all was well.

Too many memories. Played lots of cool shows there, and Joe (bass player for fedup) used to work the door there every thursday whne the hurricanes played. That place was like a cougar mating ground on thursday nights. haha! One week I'd leave with a chick, the next week I'd meet her husband
Good Times! Oh yeah, and hangin with Orville was a blast.

I was down there one night talkin to this big guy who was tearin up the guitar. I mentioned I played guitar and he made me play a song. He told me it was in the key of D. I said 'uhhh okay??' and played a D chord the entire song. While very drunk. I think he even fed me cake while I was playing.
That night I went home and learned that fucking song. It was Cant You See by marshal tucker. The big guy was felix.
I also have a very strong memory of that one stage light pretty much giving me sunburn and skin cancer, lol.
I fucking loved your bar man. I think i died a little inside when closed. When im rich and famous, im buyin you another bar.

Laugh if you want to, really is kinda funny, 'cause the world is a car and you're the crash test dummy.

benefits
Benefits, the rockpage jams, lots of shows with lots of friends. Never saw a fight, no once, I saw Ice hit a girl and then run away. That was it though. At a benefit for him....
I loved that place. I loved to play there and to just hang out, and I don't drink!

7 years worth of Thursdays, damn...where do i even start. All the above mentioned for sure. You guys were family to us and we looked forward to each Thurs. One of the craziest nights i remember was leaving down the alley and a black bear ran out in front of my car, just got done smoking one so i wasn't sure till i chased him, yep it was a bear, big mother too. Even the wildlife tried to get bookings from Big John, they must of heard how fun it was there.
When you had the pool outback was nice to take a dip after a show, except when Felix jumps naked from the roof and scared the shit outa me.
Good times John, too many to mention. Never be a place like yours again.

Hey John, remember having to replace the wooden hand railing that time because of that guy "falling" through it? Sorry about that. That dude should've left Skeezer alone...like he had a chance with his woman...
