Another POP culture icon Dies

Post by rickster »

LOS ANGELES – Gidget the Chihuahua, the bug-eyed, big-eared star of 1990s Taco Bell commercials who was a diva on and off the screen, has died. She was 15

RIP  This hurts me more than the death of Michael Jackson.

Seriously, it does.

I always thought that dog was a dude.
She had a very manly voice.

RIP little mexi-dyke dog!

Seriously, it does.
They better do an autopsy to confirm cause of death, and drag it out all over the media for a few months. This is way more important than the death of michael jackson, steve irwin, and the death of the 80's...

Those Taco Bell commercials with the dog were seriously among my all-time favorites. I've been hoping for years that they'd bring 'em back. Now I guess that they never will. Maybe a replacement spokes-buddy someday? "Drop the Chalupa"! "You have cable, right?"
I've drank enough beer to float a battleship! Go ahead and Rock & Roll all night if you can but don't party every day!

My favorite one was when Godzilla the movie came out and Taco Bell was doin specials with the movie theme and she would sit there and say "Here Lizard, Lizard!!!"

Remember when they sold the stuffed talking dogs at Taco Bell. We still have a couple around here somewhere. It said all of the TV commercial catch phrases.
