You're better off not going to PSU for programming anyway. I've interviewed 6 PSU grads about two years ago that knew just about as much as someone reading a "programming for dummies" book.

When I took my current job there were two PSU educated programmers working here. I became their manager in two months; let them go two months after that. I produced more, with better quality, in half the time, no joke. Things they told the owners that were impossible, I completed in under three weeks :)

I've yet to be impressed with anyone coming out of PSU that wasn't an Agriculture or Engineering student.

WOW
 maybe I should reconsider my decision of going back to school. Think I can get my tuition money back?

Doesn't mean there aren't any impressive students in other categories :) Also doesn't mean you won't get a really good education out of the place if you bust your ass and take it.

I just don't think a majority of students go to college to learn anymore. I think its more something that is expected and/or required by their parents/society.

When I get laid off (I say when, because I think we're only 20-30% through the "economic downturn"), I plan on going to PSU. I'm taking every ounce of knowledge that place has for myself though :)

To be honest with you, I dont know how the hell PSU is number 1. I go there and i'm really not impressed with the partying. Yeah everyone does go out on the weekend, but mostly to hole in the wall type bars or a wanna-be night club with "AMAZING DJs" who get recognition for pressing play and stop, or you can go to a famous house party run by 30 guys and 8 girls in a crowded room with every guy trying to get his willy wet. You get your typical guido's from NY and NJ who think they run the show b/c there driving daddy's BMW or the most famous car in psu the " INFINITI G35".

There are tons of frats, which again are mostly run by tards who popped their collar and think they can kick anyones ass. By the end of the night everyone is just drunk walking the streets looking for cabs. Im not saying it cant be a good time, but its nothing i'm going to go out of my way for or something i'm going to miss in the future. PSU has history but its becoming overun by a bunch of rich boys who think they made the place.

The school is just a cluster fuck in my opinion. I've been to many other colleges mmmmmm WVU and they wipe psu out in partying. The only reason PSU gets the recognition is because they have 40,000 drunk kids on 2 streets.

Watch "my new haircut" on youtube. Thats psu in a nut shell. PSU guys have two things on their minds when partying A. Try to get laid, it doesnt matter who they fuck. B. If you can't get laid, pick a fight! haha works everytime

I will give psu this, the girls up there are out of this world, after going to arts fest this year I was amazed.

I'd like to think me and Scott Everhart laid a lot of the groundwork for that title during the 9 years I spent in Happy Valley :D
