For Drummers Only

Post by Hawk »

This is an interesting link. They took 60 plus snare drums. Judges scored them without seeing them. One person played the same licks on every drum. A group of judges then scored the drums.

The drums were divided int categories. Like laminated, solid shell, metal shell etc..

Sound clips are available, but I haven't listened to them yet.

I did notice my friend Keith scores 2nd place with his solid shell snare drum. (Baltimore Drum Co.)

The drums were also later judged with the judges seeing the drums, and a group of drummers did some judging, although not under the same controlled circumstances.
