One more time, Night Ranger.
Excellent show! This was the third time I saw Night Ranger (the first two times were at Windber Stadium and Dougherty's "Terra" Tory in Johnstown); this was the best of the three, and the first time I saw them with Jack Blades, Brad Gillis and Kelly Keagy all in the line-up.
Night Ranger kicked it into high gear from the start, and kept the excitement level up for the duration, even on the ballads! They opened with "This Boy Needs to Rock" into Deep Purple's "Highway Star," and fired off a number of their hits. They did "Send Me Away," "The Secret of My Success," "Sentimental Street," "Goodbye," "Four in the Morning," "When You Close Your Eyes" and "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" to close the set. They also broke out a song from Blades' other band, Damn Yankees, performing "Coming of Age." They played "You're Gonna Hear From Me," which Jack said has been picked up by the Pittsburgh Steelers for use whenever they make a big play. For the encore, Night Ranger started with "Sister Christian," and then finished things with "Rock In America (You Can Still)." It all sounded awesome, and Night Ranger was definitely on their 'A' game!
