Not sure how many of you guys are/were into comics, but this hit the interwebz today & I found it shocking.
Hopefully they are just doing it to cash in on the market & take a backseat to the creative process.
EDIT: Forgot the link! haha

I have mixed feelings about this. I have a vast collection of Marvel Comic's that I have collected over the last twenty-five years from 1970 up to the early 90's. I don't know what this will do for the value of my books if anything, but it's hard to sell them anyway, so I'll just hold on to them.
Anyway, as far as Disney buying Marvel...this sucks. That's all we (true believers, fans) need, a bunch of fucking people wearing Mickey Mouse hats at ComicCon or the Mouse running around dressed like Spider-Man...not to mention that the future Marvel movies will be A LOT less violent....I really don't know what to say. I just hope that the "creative" process is NOT effected. Maybe we collectors will get lucky and this will rejuvenate some interest in the older material and *spark* a selling wave. I have been sitting on some issue's that would/could put some serious money in my pocket IF I could sell them...either way,
I don’t think Disney is going to dip Marvel into a rainbow and turn the writers into cutesy little bunnies who only write family-friendly comics.
The change will be more subtle, but it will be profound. I’m certain there will be a huge change within Marvel Comics in the long run. Whether this is going to be good or bad, is yet to be seen, but judging from what Time Warner eventually did to Mad Magazine after aquiring DC comics ( that's another story all together), I don’t think this will be a good thing for those who love and enjoy Marvel comics. I guess only time (and Disney profits) will tell.
