Politics at practice
We have two people who argue, one who's a 'conservative' as hawk says, and two of us who just don't give a shit. I'm under the 'don't give a shit' category. Us two 'non shit givers' tend to talk about boobs or something else interesting instead.
Whats your band like?
On a side note, I thought of a way to punish them. Every time a political conversations starts, I will crank the amp up to about 10 on the dial and start playing something obnoxious. Like... the jeopardy theme. You've been warned boys. Don't make me play freebird.

Laugh if you want to, really is kinda funny, 'cause the world is a car and you're the crash test dummy.
Put me in the category of "i give a shit" but don't want to waste my life on partisan politics. Politics exist at all levels, not just 'nationally" but in your personal job, dealing with your friends and with your family (god forbid).
politics:social relations involving authority or power.
that's what life is all about. a struggle b/w personality. you are a leader or a follower,
ps skynyrd is one of the top 10 bands ever

yeah me too. it was my pick in that 'songs ashamed you love' topic. But played poorly at 10 on a bandmaster, anyone will hate it

We also have another lefty in the band. He and the righty went at it last practice, not me.
I was just bustin your balls.

in my classic rock band, wild guess (keep an eye open for us, we're taking central PA by storm... which means that when it rains, we get a little stronger), our bass player plays lefty. it's funny to see two guys playing righty and one playing lefty... specially when their headstocks hit each other.
i try not to discuss polotics anymore period. the conservatives are too fucking crazy, and the liberals are crazy, also, but in a different way. i've decided i don't care anymore, and if the shit hits the fan, then i'll just off myself in a back alley somewhere... it's really the best thing that could happen

Can you identify a genital wart?
I know I know. But anyone who only knows me by my threads / posts - doesn't really know me.Colton wrote:Hawk wrote:I don't want people to think I bring politics to practice, or anywhere else. I don't discuss politics unless someone else wants to, which isn't too often.

Watch him. Watch him closely.. who knows what evil lurkssongsmith wrote:Mama Corn is mostly moderately liberal. We have a right-wing bassist, but he's not the virulent-authoritarian type, and has no background in BG so he stays on-topic (learning songs). When we discuss politics, it's usually while we roll our eyes at the right-wing media.

during the set breaks he probably fantasizes about Ann Coulter, a pistol and a firing range

You didn't find this funny songssmith? I thought of all people you'd appreciate the humor? here I thought I was very clevergosteelers wrote:Watch him. Oh, yeah! The fantasizing about Ann Coulter part especially. I'm totally using that one on him.

See, I'd have thought the Ann-norexia tattoo would fit better on his dingus, and Rush would be better on his glutes.ZappasXWife wrote:Kelly has a tatoo of Ann Coulter on his ass and one of Rush Limbaugh on his, well, privates. And no, I didn't see them. His wife told me.
People just don't plan well anymore. Everything's ass-backward.

I have a RUSH tattoo on my own terwilliger. When it's at rest, it says "RUSH." When I see ZappasX in a bikini, it says, "RUsh Limbaugh is a drug-addicted gas-bag, and if I saw him standing on a cliff, I'd be the first to puSH."

This as a centerfold in his lifetime subscription to "Guns & Ammo" would blow his mind... ruin him for life lol

Thanks ss, but you would be disappointed if you actually did see me in a bikini. Clothes hide A LOT.
