Bill, did you find it interesting that no liberal media source ever covered this story. Wonder why? Several women accuse a sitting president of rape and silence from NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, and PBS. Did this worry you as much as your posted story?

I know not of what you speak of alleged rapes. I believe he had several affairs, which has nothing to do with the rape thread, and I know of the woman who came out after TWENTY ONE YEARS and accused him. Dateline NBC carried that story. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/po ... 022599.htm

This isn't the sort of story that government conspiracy theorists like Glenn Beck carries...its more like something that O'Reilly, Susterin or Geraldo would do.

Anyway, you need to discriminate between civil and criminal prosecution and the corresponding jurisdiction.

The only way there can be a criminal prosecution of this case is if the Iraqi government brings it and manages to extradite the accused.

On the other hand, a civil case can be brought against the accused individuals and possibly the company because it is a US contract between US citizens/entities. Although that contract has a "claims" clause, you cannot sign away your basic civil rights when criminal acts are concerned.

I predict that this case will be heard and if there is enough hard evidence, she will win the civil case....

EDIT: ....against the accused individuals. To beat the corporation, she will have to prove that it was complicit in the acts and/or there is a history of company knowledge and tolerance of this kind of act. That's a tall order.

Franken's legislation, as well-intended as it may be, is unnecessary and essentially redundant.

I read this. It devolved into Beck noting that you can't have freedom or morality without religion. The picture of the douche he was talking to showed said douche in a (surprise!) mullet and American Flag T-shirt. There was an ad for European seedbank seeds for your "crisis garden." It was damage-control, nothing more. Becky did say he didn't want to pass judgement without proof... as he would do in any situation involving liberal wrongdoing.

What a surprise, you looked the other way, just like all the liberal media during the Clinton rape administration. NBC just carried that story, 15 or so years after Clinton was out of office. She had come forward a long time ago, but NBC figured it was safe to finally report it. There were many other women who claimed attempted rape and rape by the Slickster. Some just claimed sexual harassment, like Paula Jones.

What a surprise you would ignore this. Not.

Why should the networks spend years (like Fox) on allegations. Where is the proof of rape ? If there is / was proof, he should be in jail ! Was there a trial(s) ? Is every allegation true or only if it against someone you don't like ?
