Kutless tie-in...

Post by Dragan Kalasa »

originally I was going to post it under the Kutless thread, but I decided to just tie this in with a new thread.

What is the difference between a Christian band of any type (rock, rap, traditional) and a band with uplifting messages and such. Aren't they kinda one in the same? I wonder if some bands just don't want the label "Christian" as a genré and rather be rock, rap, country, whatever and uplifting. Opinions?

The main difference is they try to spread the words of god and they are a way for kids and teens to get the message .. You will find with some uplifting messages, there will be no word of god in the lyrics.

Most Christian bands, even those that don't write "praise and worship" lyrics have a part of their live performance where they lead worship.

I think the main difference between bands with positive messages and those that actually lead worship is the latter sees their work as a mission to bring people to Christ, through their music.
