Ummm they did.joltinjeff wrote: I also realized that if there was a conspiracy they still would have killed anyone closely associated with that day.
I personally think there are too many inconsistencies & coincidences. If you do the research, you'll see what a bunch of crap we have been handed. Specifically look into the work of New Orleans DA Jim Garrison. He sheds alot of light of what happened.
People are always gonna be divided on the subject. I choose not to swallow everything the Gov't says.
You're crazy, Bag. Watch this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62gvoKyODu4Bag wrote:Between the "magic bullet" and JFK's head being blown off BACKWARDS, I still think there was more to it than what the Warren commission would like you to believe.
Call me crazy...

There are 2 different conclusions from 2 different official government reports. Of course, we all know about the Warren Commission, 3 shots fired with everybody's favorite son Arlen Specter and his magic bullet.
The United States House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) came to a different conclusion based on acoustic analysis. They found that there was a high probability that Kennedy was killed as a result of a conspiracy, there were 4 shots fired and that one came from the grassy knoll.
Wiki is easier reading, but the 2nd link is the actual report.

There is the video of the Secret Service guys being told to stand down from kennedy's car as he made that turn into the "killzone".
The SS agents look very confused as to why they are told to stand down!
VERRRRRY Interesting. Dont you think? Its things like that and many other things about that case that say "Wake up America!".
Then as Lonewolf said, there have been other Gov't investigations that dont agree with the Warren Commission at all.

Oh, and for those people who really think that Jack Ruby killed Oswald to be an american hero. Check THIS out. This is one of the few times he says there is a conspiracy!!!! Right from his mouth!!! You cant deny that.

Hahaha. I know that it is exciting and intriguing to think that the US gov't killed Kennedy, but what you have to look at are the facts, not theory and conjecture.
If the Secret Service, CIA, FBI, LBJ and numerous others were all in "cahoots" to assassinate JFK, why do it in public in front of hundreds of people? Really? Think about it. Oswalt had to do it then, because it was probably the only time he would ever be in a position to shoot Kennedy.
When it comes to the people that the conspiracy theorists say were killed because they "knew too much", or were witnesses to the shooting, that just enforces the facts. There is no way that a group of people capable of such a widespread cover up (and with daily access to the president) would be stupid enough to pull off their ultimate caper in public on that day in Dallas. Wouldn't they just slip him some top-secret poison in his drink and call it "natural causes"? Hell, according to the theorists, they "fixed" the autopsy anyway.
Despite all of the conjecture, a giant conspiracy just doesn't make sense. If it were true, we would all just think that Kennedy died of an aneurysm or something.
It reminds me of the retired top military men who come out and say that the US gov't has been hiding alien bodies, spaceships, and the like. You know they are doing it to feed the UFO frenzy and allow real top-secret stuff, like experimental aircraft, to be tested. If anyone sees it, the public will dismiss them as UFO crazed nutjobs.
It also reminds me of how conspiracy theory is the main reason that O.J. Simpson is a free man today. How many of you that think that the gov't killed Kennedy also think that O.J. was framed by the LAPD? Probably not many.

The Gov't likes tragedy, especially during certain times. It makes things easier for them to do. Why do it in front of people? Because it adds to the story. They had to be careful in planning and presentation. In those days, being a commie is like being associated with the taliban today. Its easy to pin stuff on people who may or may not have an agenda. If you play upon the fears of the masses, they will eat out of your hand. Thats something our Gov't learned very early on. If it was just one inconsistency or lie, then yeah the conspiracy would be BS. Unfortunately, its on multiple levels and theres so many weird things involved. When something happens like that, common sense tells me something is wrong. The Gov't is dirty and always will be.
Common sense tells me that the guy with the rifle and 3 empty casings was the killer.
A lot of people failed miserably at their jobs that day, and I'm sure that a lot of them wanted everyone's thinking to become "fuzzy" so that they could elude blame. When you look at actual facts... the turd in the punch bowl becomes obvious.

Why did Oswald deny that he had anything to do with the shooting? If he was so proud...why would he deny it?
Oswald wasnt caught with the rifle. Now, Im not saying LH Oswald didnt take part in the assassination. He certainly was a part of it. All im saying is he wasnt the only person involved. Whether he shot that rifle or not, who knows.
