Why not just lay low for a few years vs. saying that you quit. How can you honestly quit a band after 40 years? It's not called quiting, it's called taking a long term break until you get the music bug again.

+1.
They've been only mildly interesting to me for the last half of their career. The talent is undeniable, but they just went too pop for me, plus, playing all gonzo in your 60's is kind of sad.--->JMS

Look on the bright side, it may give Joe Perry an excuse to do another solo album or fire up the Project again...

Perry does have a new solo cd out and is currently on the road. Kinda seems weird that only after Tylers stage accident did all this start happening. Tyler's been drug free for years but the extent of his injuries would have called for some pretty potent meds to be perscribed. My guess is he may have fallen off the wagon again. Perry says Tyler wont return any calls from anyone in the band and has been acting weird ever since. Sounds like typical "falling off the wagon" behavior, but this is just my theory.

I think you hit the nail on the head
Laugh if you want to, really is kinda funny, 'cause the world is a car and you're the crash test dummy.
