Funny, I didn't even recognize the names of most of the safest cities. Wonder if there's a correlation there.

On the overall safest metropolitan areas, even though all three fell down on the list last year, Johnstown came in at #12, State College at #16, and Altoona at #19. Of course, when they calculate metropolitan areas for these places, they include many suburban and rural communities surrounding the cities themselves.
