The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class of 2010 inductees were named today for the March 15, 2010 ceremony.
ABBA
Genesis
Jimmy Cliff
The Hollies
Iggy Pop and The Stooges.
The Rock Hall also announced that its Ahmet Ertegun Award for non-performers would go to music industry executive David Geffen, the songwriting teams of Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil and Ellie Greenwich and Jeff Barry, and individual songwriters Jesse Stone, Mort Shuman and Otis Blackwell.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2010 Inductees
While I agree with Iggy Pop and the Stooges and the Hollies and Genesis. I cant imagine why ABBA would be in. They should call this just the Music Hall of Fame instead of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
There have been some inductees that have absolutely nothing to do with Rock and Roll. Maybe Bubble Gum Rock maybe pop music, but not rock and roll.
While those few bands that started the craze and helped generate what is now known as rock and roll SHOULD be inducted, bands such as ABBA should not.
With heavy metal groups from the 70s and 80s who have left their mark on the industry go unnoticed, we have ABBA going in.
This is truly one of the great injustices in the world.
Oh, just one question ... Do you think that Aerosmith would get into the Rap Hall of Fame for putting Run DMC on the map with the use of "Walk This Way" ?

The script was written, and the villian was cast. The provocation needed, they will provide. They did it before, they'll do it again.
