Thanks, nice thread. We should send our roadies out to war, they would have finished by now. A great line.

Wow awsome acoustic set.....

I remember seeing the Who do their 20th years of Tommy concert at 3 Rivers stadium in 1988... God they kicked ass live in 1988 what I wouldn't have given to see them hopped up on speed in some club in 1963....

it is hilarious to see how awkward the guy is interviewing them, especially when he asks them about their favorite songs and he has no idea when he hears their answers, so he has to segue into the wrap-up. it's also funny to hear Daltrey say "match" when referring to the game. good stuff when you cross sports and music.

One of the funniest memories from my radio career happened on WFBG-AM back in the early '90s. We were airing a live Who concert special through Westwood One (I forget the exact occasion, it was some sort of special concert appearance). The whole show went off well, and after the show, Pete Townshend started thanking the crowd, but starting dropping F-bombs right and left as he did so. The Westwood One folks weren't ready for it, and after Pete dropped about 3 or 4 of them, one of the announcers cut in and said, "I think it's time for a commercial break," and they cut away. This went out live over the air, not just on WFBG, but every other station that was carrying the concert! I think I might still have that on tape somewhere.
