legal question
Has anyone ever had any convictions expunged from their criminal history? If so, what did you have to do? Please pm if you don't want to talk publicly. I'd appreciate it.

1st, you have to determine if you qualify. With some exceptions, the typical situation that comes to mind is if you were aressted, but for some reason, not convicted of a crime. An example of this would be if you successfully completed an ARD (accelerated rehabilitative disposition).
If you qualify, there are several legal documents that you need to file and get approved. Among those are Petition for Expungement, Certification of ARD completion (if applicable), Verification of Request, A Certification of Service (of all the other documents) and there may be more depending on the situation.
You can take a trip to the DA's office and see if they will give you all the necessary forms...good luck on that.
As you can see, it is not a siimple process, so it might be more efficient to get a lawyer who specializes in expungement. The lawyer's fees shouldn't amount to much; however, I am not sure about the county and/or state fees.
