The Damn Death Panel

Post by Hawk »

The damn death panel is alive and well.

Health America refuses to pay for necessary cancer treatment for Kyler Van Nocker.

http://www.philly.com/dailynews/local/2 ... _life.html

How many more people are suffering as a result of the (stock holders are more important than your life) death panels ?

Oh yeah, he's 5 years old.

A young kid like that deserves to have any kind of treatment he can get. No death Panels for that. There shouldn't be Death Panels period ...

They decided that the kid should die. That IS from a panel of insurance executives - a death panel.

You can call it what you want Bill, but it's tragically sad and pisses me off that insurance companies do this kind of slimy shit. This is why I hate insurance, you could pay for something ten times over, and when it comes time to use the insurance, they find every loophole and every way possible to get out of paying.

This does go on every day. Interesting, in Mass. the state government run plan had many more denials of treatment than the private run insurance companies, like in this story. That is why the voters of Mass. voted against Obamacare.

LMAO

What ? Fox didn't report this ?

When Brown got elected I heard his speech and his answers to the media. He said Massachusetts is happy with their own government run health insurance. He bragged that 98% of the people in his state were covered. He added, "Why would we vote on health reform when it doesn't do anything for my state, we're happy with what we already have".

Mass health denies medical care 23% vs most private insurance rates in single digits. The most democrat state in the country, Mass. voted against B. Hussien's government health care plan. They know what government run plans are like. Yes, 93% of the people have coverage, but only a small percent of that is the MassHealth care plan, and it is by far the worst run plan if you need health care.

I don't know what is so funny about that.

Brown bragged about it.

The link won't come up.

How many died as a result ? What exactly did they turn down ?

You either didn't read your own data OR you made an attempt to fool us. Perhaps you misspoke?

It states TWICE that 23% is denied OR sent back for rework. The actual fact as pointed out in YOUR provided data IS : Mass health denied 9.2% and the national average is 7.1%. Somehow I doubt MassHealth left anyone die. Good try Joe...well...BZZZZZZZZ you are wrong.

Bill, how could make statements like this? Did you review every medical history of every person on MassHealth? Only then could you make that statement.

You can't just say, "I was wrong" can you ? It was not stated as a fact. As your false statement was.

My statement was my opinion , which should be obvious. Unlike your blatant lie which I proved to be a lie. Or poor rescharch, or...Well, you tell me why you were so wrong. Hype ? I wonder how much more of your rhetoric needs double checked ?

Sen. Brown said quite a few times on FOX NEWS that the health care in Mass is good. He also stated that since he has some incite on how to do it, he could help make it better for the country. Bill, do you watch fox news?

There is no one in this world that can make me truely believe that after the billions and then some dollars we spend on finding cures for cancer that we do not have the cure for it, or atleast have the cure for some of them. This country is a joke!!!! Ya we might be alot more free than other countries but not by much anymore. Lets go help every other f--king country and say f--k our own. If you think its better somewhere else, just move. Lots of people do. If you think you have the answers to make it better, start a grassroots campaign for yourself and attempt to make a change. It is a free country. We have many freedoms. Its so much better here that people leave their families and everything they know behind and risk their lives to just attempt to get here and do jobs we would never consider doing. There are a bunch of spoiled lazy fucks in this country who take it for granted. There are people who work in fast food with healthcare bene's. Understand the difference between guaranteed happiness and "the PURSUIT of happiness". Too many people want a free lunch everyday. If someone is homeless, helpless, and starving in this country they can get help, then its up to them. Any one of us can fall on hard times, fuck most of us have. The thing is though, you gotta work hard and most people don't wanna do that. Too many people wanna be the victim and not enough wanna be the volunteer. If you depend on the politicians I guarantee you'll be disappointed everytime. Be accountable for yourself. We always take credit for our successes/victories, but blame our failure/losses on elected "leaders". Well, how'd they get there? I know, "don't blame me, I voted for "someone who was so good that the majority of lesser intelligent 'sheeple' couldn't even grasp his awesomeness therefore he got two votes",and now I'll just blame the dude who did get elected for the whole worlds problems and critisize him from the comfort of my safe warm home while I sip my favorite beverage, snack on some junk food, and type on my computer or blackberry or droid or Iphone and tell everyone what someone else should be doing. Yeah, I could prolly go make a little bit of a difference myself if - got my own fat ass out and did something besides attend a fucking tea party which is just more talk/smoke/whining, but that's not my job. My job is to be a fucktard and bitch about the govt. On a local music messageboard. Some of you need to get some real problems or experience some actual hardship, maybe then you'll realize your life and these times really aren't that bad.

Yes, there are slackers out there. And they do know how to take advantage of the system. None of us like them.

We all know this is the best place in the world to live. But one should be educated (not that Rockpage is a place to get educated) enough to know what's going on. Apathy caused many of the problems we do have. Apathy will make it much worse.

The complexity of federal government goes way beyond that.

The Supreme Court just said that a corporation is a person with all the same rights as a person. And a corporation can spend any amount of money they want to aid a candidate for office or on an issue a candidate might be involved in.

Think about the ramifications of that decision. With Billions of dollars to spend, they can say to any congressman what they should vote on or the wrath of their money will go to TV to destroy the congressman. That is scary. These are things people should know.

The fact that insurance companies are not regulated by anti trust laws (they are allowed to be monopolies). Monopolies are anti American and not good for capitalism, which works best with compitition.

The fact that so many people are going bankrupt because they their insurance will not cover their health bills. These are not slackers, these are hard working people who contribute to society.

Given that there is TV like Fox and MSNBC, both of which are VERY one sided, and some people only get their news from one of them, they become oblivious to both sides of an issue. Some don't even believe there is another side. Or don't want to believe it.

Way too many people only care about an issue when it affects them personally. Some people only care about their own money (taxes).

So here on Rockpage some of us enjoy discussing the ramifications of issues and the effect of these issues on the American people. Everyone on Rockpage falls into this category.

Your answer is "get a job". Well, manufactures are in China. There are many people in the unemployment line who would like to have a life sustaining job. Do you think that of the 10% of American who are not working, all of them are slackers ?

People should understand the issue of why the jobs left (taxes, wages etc.) realize that the president cannot make them come back, nor can he create jobs out of thin air. Watch his video part one and see and learn about the stimulus.

Not everyone has the time to build a grass roots campaign. I wish I did, but I have to rely on the people we voted for who represent us. Like it or not, we all do.

So I say, get politicaly educated, have a viable opinion, and vote accordingly. Do not become apathetic. One needs to be educated before he can make a difference.

And most importantly. Think about how issues effect EVERYONE. Care about everyone.

I hope you're not recommending political apathy, get a job and the hell with everyone else's problems.

Being that you do a lot of benefits shows that you really care about others, but there are issues above and beyond the people you have personally helped. I am also concerned about people who don't have someone like you to throw a benefit. And I am concerned about issues that affect all Americans in one way or another.

I also respect anyone who disagrees with me. Especially if they have a viable reason for their opinions.
