The Rhythm House in Bridgeville is closing its doors after 9 years to make way for a Get-Go. The last show there happens Feb. 27. From the venue's website:

I only ever got to go there once, to see the Tony Janflone Jr. benefit two years ago. The Rhythm House was a nice venue; several rooms that could stage several events simultaneously. Also cool was that there was a hotel and a Kings restaurant across the street, so you could roadtrip to catch a show, stay overnight across the street and eat breakfast at Kings the next morning.
The Rhythm House hosted a number of popular Pittsburgh area bands, of course, but also was a frequent stop for popular regional bands like Velveeta and Green Eggs.
Its closure will leave a void on the Pittsburgh scene. I wish I could have gotten over there for a few more shows!
