Seriously.......What the fuck?
Only in Utah.........
Only in Utah.........
Via Con Dios, Vomitar.
That article was written by someone who didn't know what they are talking about. There are previsions in the law for accidental miscarriages.
The law criminalizes miscarriages that were brought about intentionally. It all came about because a pregnant 17 year old had some "friends" beat her in the stomach until she miscarried.
But... it still is a ridiculous law and Utah is still an insanely idiotic morally backwards conservative shitehole.
"Hey if we only sell beer that is 3.2% alcohol or less, nobody will be able to get drunk!... and my daughter thinks your father is cute".

... and then the wheel fell off.

If you read the text of the law, it basically makes self-abortion illegal.
You know, the old coat hanger or ketchup bottle tricks?
Well, maybe you don't know. Some of you don't remember the time before Roe v. Wade. Many states, including PA, prohibited abortion and that's where the "back alley abortions" took place. I remember an older friend telling me about the "ketchup bottle method" when his gf got pregnant....
What is pro-abortion's biggest moral argument for abortion? Abortion should be legal so that women wouldn't have to resort to back alley abortions. Pro-choice people should be praising any ban on back alley abortions.
Of course, the law also defines what constitutes a legal abortion. It is actually a little bit more liberal than other recent laws I have seen, but it does not provide for abortion-on-demand. If you look at any legitimate poll, most Americans favor abortion under certain circumstances, but not under others. This law fits that bill.

...Oh, the freedom of the day that yielded to no rule or time...
