Original American Kazoo Company - It still produces them

Post by moxham123 »

The Original American Kazoo Company, in Eden, NY outside Buffalo, was established in 1916 and is now the only metal kazoo factory in North America. The museum highlights history, amusing trivia, and shows step by step the way kazoos are made.

Cool.

I think I may have to upgrade to a metal kazoo soon for my Monday night sit-ins with Adam D at Pelly's.

Get the kazoo with the MIDI-control capability. Mine synchs up with the stage-lighting rig, triggers the fog-machine, aligns the FX scenes, and flushes all the commodes in the ladies room. It cost me $12,000, but it eliminates all the problems with analog kazoo's. Plus it came with a really cool sticker, that I put on the kazoo roadcase. --->JMS

$12 grand? Geez, here's one for $17.95:

(well, not really...they didn't mention the pitch to midi converter price)

Back in the early 80s, I was in a band that played Your Mama Don't Dance and during the saxophone solo in the song we did it with 3 part harmony kazoos. It was not only funny but it worked and the people got a kick out of it. It sure was cheaper than hiring a saxophone player for one song.

That's awesome, LW! I was being facetious, but I guess I should have known somebody would have come up with it.--->JMS
